Meet Our Staff
CO-FOUNDER, PHYSICAL THERAPIST ASSISTANT
Julia Creech
Julia is our Physical Therapist Assistant, she carries out the treatment plans designed by the Physical Therapist. Julia has an Associate of Science degree from Whatcom Community College here in Bellingham and has been in practice for 10 years. Julia has been working with children in a variety of settings for 30 years. She coached sports, taught swimming lessons, was a Scout Leader, worked with children in her church and assisted her own children with raising 8 service dogs. Throughout her different experiences, she has worked with many children who are developmentally delayed or have neurodevelopmental disorders. She also worked in the Lynden School District providing as many as 20 children with physical therapy.
There are a few special facts about Julia. She is the co-founder/creator of Kids in Motion Therapy and her inspiration was her therapy dog named Rocky, pictured above. Rocky has since passed on, but his legacy lives on in the hearts of all those he has touched. Rocky began in school with Julia attending lectures and then heading to St Joseph Hospital to treat kids in the neurodevelopmental program. Rocky and Julia loved working with the kids so much. She found that there was a huge void in Whatcom County for Children’s therapy that needed to be filled. Thus, Kids in Motion Therapy Clinic was started. We are all so glad that Julia had the vision and tireless dedication to this mission. Our therapists and all the kiddos who have been touched by Julia’s mission are forever grateful.
